Born in Guatamala, now found in Smithville, Texas -- the small Central Texas town where "Hope Floats" was filmed --Bachelor's Degree in Languages and Master's Degree in Literature, student of art and sculpture.....the pursuit of knowledge in many areas has led him now to shelve the academic world to pursue his true passion in his own artistic expressions -- combining all his interests, memories, and world travel experiences in his work....... a true Renaissance Man of the 21st Century. Ranging from spiritual interpretations to somewhat irreverant and even erotic works, ABEL BARRIENTOS is now 64 years wise and blends his many facets with his joy of seeing beauty in found objects in new interpretative ways. Abel's family is blessed with each individual pursuing their own form of art in their own way.
